As a real estate agent, I have the pleasure of meeting some amazing people. I am what some people might call a social butterfly, but it is my easy-going and bubbly personality that has allowed me to connect with some incredible people. One of those chance encounters was with Jesse. We hit it off immediately and after talking to him for a bit we realized we both know one of my favourite people, Mathew said Morley. After chatting with him, I knew that I wanted to promote him on my Local Business Spotlight blog and use his drone skills for my real estate marketing. Continue reading to get to know a little bit about Jesse and Ninety Three Media.

How did you meet Bobbie Lynn?

I ended up meeting Bobbie at Canadian Brewhouse as we got to talking about her sweet kicks. Right away I felt her positive energy and how genuine she is, which makes her stand out among anyone in the room. Sometimes you meet people and think back and say damn, I need more people like that in my life. Her selflessness and desire to help people is inspiring to me and I couldn't be happier to have met her. Aside from her wicked Nikes, she told me she’s in real estate and knew a realtor I really look up to, Mathew said Morley. It was from his videos that I really got an interest in doing real estate videography which later turned into photography as well!

Tell me a little about yourself

Born and raised in Calgary I grew up playing pretty much any sport I was able to. After playing hockey for over 15 years, I switched out the stick for some golf clubs. I love getting out as often as I can with family and friends. Unfortunately, it’s not as often as I like cause Calgary’s winters are way too long!

Tell me about your business

Ninety Three Media was established in April 2021, primarily focusing on marketing real estate. I strive to captivate the audience through my attention and precise editing. I do this by creating attractiveness with videos and photography that showcase the property's features while allowing the viewer to picture themselves in the space. Aside from real estate marketing I also really enjoy doing promotional videos for local businesses! Later down the road, I'll be doing media work for weddings so people can remember their special day, in a special way.

How did you get started? What inspired you to start your own business?

A couple of years ago I started a YouTube channel which really created my passion for videography. I found myself having a desire to continue developing my media skills and really turn this into a career. I believe my passion drove me to where I'm at today as if you love what you do, you just can't get enough!

In 2008 at the age of 14, I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease and had to undergo multiple major surgeries. Having gone through that really shaped who I am and changed my outlook on life. It made me realize that you never know what could happen and you better make sure you make the most of your life. With that being said it's been extremely important for me to find a career that I love waking up for each and every day. Growing up I never thought I'd end up where I am, but I'm extremely grateful to be able to do what I love and be surrounded by such amazing people along the way.

If you could share a lesson learned for other small businesses what would it be?

The biggest thing I could say is to be patient and never give up. Great things don't happen overnight and if you're truly passionate about something you'll get to where you want to be. Every small change will eventually build up into something great!

In one sentence how would you promote your business?

My Media Company, Ninety Three Media provides hassle-free videography/photography services to clients so they can captivate their audience and market effectively and efficiently.

What has been your favourite project so far?

My favourite project so far was definitely Painted Ridge. I had the opportunity to work for One of One Creative and shoot a development they have out in BC. They took me up to the top of a mountain where I was able to shoot some cool drone footage/photos of the lake while enjoying the view of course! It’s absolutely beautiful out there and they’re always a pleasure to work for.

What was your least favourite project?

I don’t think I’ve had a least favourite project as each job is always a new place and a new opportunity to be creative!

What do you do for fun?

For fun I enjoy creating videos for YouTube, playing hockey, basketball, golf, running, playing with my dog Tucker, skateboarding, snowboarding, swimming.. oh and I can't forget gaming!

What does support local mean to you?

Supporting local has become a part of my life over the past few years more than ever. During these times, being there for the people around me and doing what I can for local businesses has been a big part of my life. My girlfriend Nicole and I both work for Little Modern Market which brings local businesses together each month and showcases their products/services. It's been inspiring to see the number of amazing companies based out of our beautiful city.

Aside from that I've volunteered at the Mustard Seed and raise money for Crohns and Colitis each year at the Gutsy Walk. Both of these are close to home as Crohns has now been a part of more than half my life and I know people who have been homeless and overcame adversity.

BLB Final Thoughts

When I met Jesse, I instantly knew he was special. He is one of the nicest humans I have met, and I am in awe of him. To start a business at his age is remarkable. This kid is going places. His creativity and attention to detail amaze me. I am truly honored to work with him and love how he captures my listings. He has helped me take my business to the next level and I am so grateful to have met him. I have had tons of people reach out and say how they love my drone videos. It’s a really great way to market your listings on social media. If you are looking for a hardworking, creative, caring and passionate videographer look no further. I look forward to many more years of watching Jesse create and succeed.
