Women That Inspire Me

This blog post is dedicated to the women that have helped me through life and shown me what a great friend is all about. I think as women we need to be better at supporting one another instead of tearing other women down or being mean because of jealousy. Why is it that women often feel threatened by other women? I don’t understand this, and it shouldn’t be like this. Too often in this world, people get caught up in what this person did or said. I personally want to be the person that cheers people on. Celebrate their success! Help other women see their worth and what I see in them. It makes me sad that there are so many women out there that don’t have the confidence to love themselves and believe in themselves. I want to help change this. Each of the ladies I write about in this post has helped me be better, helped me see my worth, and have supported me no matter what. They are natural leaders and have the kindest hearts. All of them are very near and dear to my heart. I’m so blessed to call them my friends. 

Melissa Price

The first beauty that I am going to write about is Melissa Price. She is a total bombshell. We met when we were 21 working at the infamous Back Alley nightclub. That was only 5 years ago! Ok, I’m just kidding it was 15 years ago, but I think we still look 21. This girl is hands down one of the most loyal and caring people I know. She never judges anyone. I love how she sticks up for the people she loves. We all know I love random acts of kindness and this girl has surprised me numerous times. She’s put a smile on my face and made me laugh more times than I can count. No matter how long it has been since we have seen or talked to each other I know I can call her up anytime and she would be there for me. She is also one strong single Momma raising a beautiful son. Her strength inspires me. She stays positive when it’s hard to be positive. I really love that about her. I am beyond proud of her.

She has a weird obsession with James Hetfield and the Edmonton oilers though so she’s not perfect guys. Also, I’m sure she could convince me to go on a covert James Hetfield stalking mission with her and I would do it because that’s how awesome she is. But let’s be real here I know she would also do it for me when it comes to JJ Watt or Taylor Kitsch. All jokes aside, Melissa thank you for being my friend and thank you for being unapologetically you. I LOVE you and to me, you ARE perfect in every way. Never stop shining my girl. 

Mandy Moline

Mandy Moline is my soul sister. Have you ever just instantly connected with someone? The moment I met Mandy I just knew we were meant to be friends. She’s beautiful inside and out. This girl bleeds STRENGTH. She never gives up. She is also one of the most generous people I know. She’s always giving back, and she puts a lot of love out into the world. That’s my favorite thing about her. She does these things because she has a good heart and she never wants anything in return. I literally put her in a headlock to pay for lunch. Her sense of humor is another thing I love about her. She loves a good prank. Needless to say, we are constantly trying to get one another. This girl is also one of the coolest girls I know. She’s pretty girlie girl but then she rides dirt bikes with her two sons and goes on motorcycle rides with her husband. She is an ALL-STAR. Mandy, you will forever be my soul sister. Thank you for blessing my life. I love you.

Nadine James

Nadine James is one of the most selfless people I know. She is beyond smart and I enjoy talking with her about world issues. We don’t always agree on things but that’s one of the coolest things about her, we don’t have to. She still loves me, and I love her. Her intelligence is one of my favorite things about her. She also has the cutest dimples and the prettiest smile. Nadine is probably the most introverted person I know but then she will throw you a curveball and be totally bold because she is standing up for something, she believes in. I love that she has the strength to fight for what she believes is right. I admire this about her. She is one of the biggest blessings in my life. I love you my girl and thank you for being my friend. 

Jillaine Carlin

Jillaine Carlin is another beautiful friend of mine that inspires me. Just thinking about her puts a smile on my face. She has the best laugh and needless to say I try my best to make her laugh just so I can hear it. Jillaine is this super cute short girl but let me tell you she can be mighty. I love that about her. She has a heart of gold and she’s been there for me during some of my darkest days. She’s also a BOSS. This girl is one of the people I look up to and ask for advice when it comes to real estate. She’s as pretty as she is smart while being an amazing Momma and wife. She inspires me every day and the world needs more people like her. She makes doing it all, look easy. One of my favorite things about her is she has these cute dance routines that she rarely lets me enjoy but will bust out a dance occasionally. She gives more than she takes. I love you Jillaine. Thank you for being my friend. 

Candace Haralson

Candace Haralson when I think about you, I can’t believe how I got so lucky to not only have met you but to also call you a best friend. There is no one on this planet that I love having a car dance party with more than you. Candace is not only a rocket, but she is also super hardworking and intelligent. She has the best sense of humor and is also the BRAVEST girl I know. My favorite thing about her is her confidence. She owns who she is. We both have a love for Justin Bieber and one of my favorite memories of her is when I met up with her to go to his concert. She opened her door rocking a nice blazer with a Justin Bieber shirt on already. At that moment I thought not only is she super rad, but I want this girl to be my friend till the end of time. I also never thought I’d meet someone who is equally obsessed with Michael Jordan as I am, till I met Candace. So that makes her even more rad. 23 Forever ❤️❤️

Candace is also part of Women in Leadership group with Scotiabank. Their goal is to educate and empower the women they work with, to go for their goals and reach their potential. And to provide support for each other, especially during these times in our lives. She’s simply amazing. She also gives more than she receives. Her heart is so big it could burst. I love you my girl and thank you for always being on my team and being a friend.

I’m going to end this by thanking you all for taking the time to read my blog. All these ladies have touched my heart in ways they don’t even realize. I’m thankful to have them on my team. What all of them have in common is that they have all overcome some incredibly challenging things in life. I admire them so much because they have never let those things dull their sparkle. In fact, they have chosen to see the bright side of things when most people can’t. They are strong, they are brave, they are beautiful, they are so loved, and they inspire me more than they know. Thank you for always fixing my crown ladies. You make the world a better place for everyone but especially for women. Ladies your confidence and natural beauty shines through and anyone that knows you beauties is lucky.
